Thailand Day 4 - 20090104

We were pretty relaxed this morning coz we pretty much almost packed most of our stuff.  i had to go to an internet cafe to do online checkin so i can go to the airport  a bit later~
 
We took the taxi to eat fish ball noodles but the stupid taxi driver left us far away......... when we got to the mall we realized the taxi has gone by the place.......... damn taxi drivers!!!
 
The noodles wasn't that bad but the portion's pretty small........... after lunch we walked around a small shopping mall, kinda high class place.......... then we took the taxi back to the hotel, packed up everything and checked out and took the taxi to the airport......
 
On On and auntie went with me to the airport earlier so we could get the taxi together... haha i didn't realize my gate was so far away I was almost late for boarding!!! kekeke
 
 
Had a good time at Thailand but nice to be back to a place where I could communicate with people...

Thailand Day 3 - 20090103

Took the BTS to Chaktujak Weekend market~
I bought so much stuff from this place... initially had a hard time figuring out where I can find what I was looking for.......
It was quite hot and many people, but not as bad as in HK busiest places lor!!!  This heat I'm ok with but HK's heat I can't bear at all!!!
We were quite hungry after walking for a short time, we bought a really nice "pull tea"  Tongue out sweet~~~~~~~~
 
We had a hard time finding a place to eat, the place we had our lunch was not so good........ after lunch I bought LOTS of stuff........
we finally found the "hainan chicken" on on wanted to eat, but the 3 of us shared one coz we were pretty full~~~
I got what I was looking for, a pair of converse and tons of miniature stuffs!!! i was happy but my wallet was not!!!  On On was my loan shark..............
 
we then took the BTS back to the hotel to drop off auntie and have a quick shower and change of clothes.........
 
we took the taxi to Siam Square to eat shark fins and swallow's nest.  we then walked to Siam Paragon to walk around, we finally found some durian for auntie!!! YEAH!!!  We took the taxi home and brought the goodies back to auntie.
 
We took the taxi out again to the Peninsula hotel on the other side of the river...  We had to ask a few taxis before the driver understands (or knows the way).
 
When we got there there was no table yet and had to wait a bit, so we walked around a bit and took pictures.  It was a beautiful hotel with beautiful scenery!!!  The food was quite good~  The atmosphere was excellent!!! Too bad we couldn't sit at the tables by the river.
 
We took their complimentary boat back across the river and just walked back to the hotel!!! wow it was much closer then taking the taxi!!! haha  Tongue out

Thailand Day 2 - 20090102

Shopping Day!!!
 
We woke up a bit late so our plans got a bit delayed.
We asked the hotel reception how to walk to the BTS station and they weren't able to help us.  Then this Chinese guy from Australia checkin in at the hotel offered to take us to the BTS station.  I was talking to him on the way there and seems he always go to Thailand and quite familiar with the place.  He told me a few things about Thailand and what where we could go shopping.
 
After I got more money exchange, our first stop is now changed to eat lunch @ the French cuisine place first, we had a hard time finding the place and asking for directions as can't communicate with them......... Confused   We ordered a 4-course set lunch and a lamb, a pate, and prawn avocado salad.   I enjoyed the food, it was a nice experience.
 
Then we took the taxi to the shopping centre and bought lots of food @ the supermarket.  Got some miniature craft books @ the book store.  We took the taxi to the Siam Square, and it was just a horrible experience.  The guy who claims to be Chinese cheated us.  At first he didnt' really wanna use meter but we insisted, then think he took the long way, and then he didn't drop us off inside Siam square and had us walk there, and then finally he took quite a few dollars of "tips" from us!!! what a horrible driver!!! We were quite pissed, too bad I had too many things in my hands or I wouldn't let him get away with this, what an asshole!!!
 
We finally found the restaurant and ordered the food....... the food was not as good as expected and the price is not really that cheap for the quality of the food.  I wouldn't go there again.  It's introduced in the travel books....... don't trust travel books....... Tongue out
 
We found another boots after dinner and bought more things!!! HAHA  Took the taxi home and planned for tmr's itinerary.
 
Funny shit:  I was reading a book with my glasses on and On On asked me: "have u seen my glasses?"  and I answered her: "How would I be able to see your glasses when I haven't got mine on?"  On On: "............................."
 
Another funny shit:  auntie asked for "hand cream" and I gave her "tissue" coz I thought they it sounded the same  (潤手劑 vs. 抹手紙)hahahahahahaaaaaaaa
 
On On says I can't function at nite!!! LOL Nerd

Thailand Day 1 20090101

Day 1 @ Thailand
 
Arrived at the airport and was hungry so ate a breakfast @ Fairwood.  HEY, they changed the order of immigration!!!
Dunno wat's wrong, after I ate the food on the plane, I threw up everything.......... i mean a lot!!!
 
Met up with On On after I off the plane, immigration was smooth.
We waited a while to get on a taxi...
 
We were starving by the time........... so was coz I threw everything up, haha
We didn't get to eat coz by the time we got to hotel it was like almost 3pm~ we had appt @ the spa around 4pm.
We had a 3 hour spa including foot massage and body massage.  So relaxing!!!  (next time could do without the foot massage coz the body one includes it).
 
We took the taxi to the state tower coz our reservation was at 8pm.  We sat in the waiting room waiting for our table to get setup.  The place was beautiful!!!  Good atmosphere, good food, beautiful scenery.  BONUS was the fireworks!!! So romantic on New Year's Day!!! haha
 
We ate too much! kekeke Took the taxi home coz we didn't know our way to walk back to the hotel (although it's like a short walk).
We went back and planned for next day's trip.

Poor me... Monday Jul 23rd, 2007

Went to US today.
So dumb, I went home to get my US $$ and then went down and found out I forgot my wallet......... how smart is that???  So I went back to get it.

Then we went to pickup my sis in law's mom & bro.  So all 8 of us were packed in the van.  haha even the customs guy asked "how do u all fit in there?"  The wait at the border was quite long.......  after crossing the border, I think almost everyone slept (of coz except my bro who was driving).

We all woke up when we got to the outlet, it wasn't really a comfy nap but a long one.
It's kinda rainy today........ but it didn't affect me shopping.........  Here I go.........

Bought some Roxy board shorts and t-shirts first.
Then bought tons of things at the Nike store, including a pair of shoes.
These 2 places already took me a long time......
Went to eat lunch at the food court.  I had a grilled chicken salad.

After lunch........
Bought a purse from Coach.
Then I kinda slowed down........  I had this really bad stomachache and wasn't really interested in buying anything...........  I looked at LeSportSac, saw something I wanted to buy but wasn't in the mood to buy anything.  Then I felt so dizzy and hot and shivery, so I sat down at Puma...... again didn't even look at anything...... then I walked over to Adidas........ damn........ stomach was paining so much I sat there for the longest time and couldn't move a muscle.........  Jen went and got me a hot tea from Starbucks, but mom left when Clem called to ask her to go pay for something at Banana Republic.  She just left me there.  Poor me.

I felt a bit better after drinking the tea and putting it on my tummy.  Then we went out and Jen bought a pretzel for me becoz there were salt in it.  I took a bite and wanted to throw up so I went to the washroom.  After I threw up I felt much better!  The Camomile tea actually worked.  And it was good to have a hot cup of tea to drink, coz my toes were turning blue...............    Gee, I wonder if it's the chicken salad?????

So I saw Gap and went in and bought tons of stuff, but it was really the best deal from most of the stores.  And on top of that I got the coupon for extra 15% off!!!  So I got tons of stuff for about $100.  It was mom's present for me, hahaaaaa.

Then it was time to go home.........  now need to worry about how much we bought as we only have a limit of $60....... so we threw away some boxes and packaging and put it on ourselves.......

I slept again on the way back to the border, everything was good.

We went to have dinner at the Shanghai River restaurant, but we waited for like half an hour........ but the food is good.
Exhausted...... time to go home.........
